Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Farnsworth Public Library! We are pleased to offer volunteer opportunities to adults and students in grades 5-12. The type of work done will be dependent on the volunteer’s interests and abilities as well as the Library’s needs. Possibilities include light administrative work, preparing crafts and activities for upcoming classes and events, shelving library items, light cleaning, etc.

If you have a special talent or information you’d like to share with the community and are interested in leading a program, let us know! We are always looking for new ideas for classes and events for children, teens, and adults.

All adult volunteers will be required to fill out a Volunteer Application. Students in grades 5-12 will need the written consent of a parent or legal guardian and a completed Tween/Teen Volunteer Application. All volunteer applications must include a signed Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement.

For as little as $5 (single membership) or $10 (family membership) every year, you can consider yourself a Friend of Farnsworth Public Library. Simply drop off the application form and cash or check (payable to The Friends of Farnsworth Library) at the Library. You can also find application forms at the Library’s circulation and reference desks.
